Most times I see this it's a network issue with the ipads connection. That plus I keep reading about new major security flaws in High Sierra. When time is of the essence things can't be sluggish or even slow, in my opinion.

Is there an option for caching feature in MacOS Sierra (client) since that is the OS I'm using right now on the mini, if so where? I am reluctant to upgrade to High Sierra since the Mac Mini already runs painfully slow as it is for Sierra (which was upgraded from Snow Leopard,) I can't imagine how slow it'll run under High Sierra. I suggest using the caching feature in High Sierra Just a few questions to help me understand you better: Thank you /u/JItteryPenguin for your response. PROBLEM: Is there a way to prevent students from accidentally changing the home screen layout? On Android tablets that my manager manages for kindergarten and first graders it seems like there is no way the students can accidently move the app icons as opposed to the iPads.

Has anybody else experienced this issue? I've tried checking in the Mac OS X Sierra's Console.app but I won't let me view logs created at an earlier point in time like it used to in Mavericks. Sometimes it would get stuck at downloading apps and other times it would seemingly get stuck at assigning licenses. at downloading apps, or assigning licenses) and remain that way until either I click "cancel" or at worst unplug the cart from the Mac Mini.
